2023 Interior Design Predictions
2022 was packed full of some really beautiful design trends. I think we will see some of them continue into 2023 (transitional interiors, earthy tones, and wall molding), as well as a few new ones. Here are my top 4 predictions for interior design in 2023.

DIY Anthropologie Christmas Wreath
Have you seen this Anthropologie Christmas wreath that has been all over Instagram and TikTok? I’m not kidding it is all over my for you page. But with the $200+ price tag, it’s hard to understand how it is sold out! I DIY-d my own version of it for a fraction of the cost.

How to Repair a Cane Chair
Repairing a cane seat can be very intimidating, but it is not as hard as it seems! I few hours of work and you’ll have a brand new seat (and save yourself $150+ for a “pro” to repair it for you).
Deciding on Wallpaper for the Guest Bathroom
A few months ago we added beadboard to our guest bathroom wall. I knew right away that I wanted to add wallpaper to that room as well. Here’s all about the samples I ordered and how we decided on the one.
It’s Been A While…
Hi friends! It’s been a while!! The past few months have been an absolute whirlwind over here. I finished up grad school in May (!!) and then spent the next month working/preparing for my boards (which I PASSED !!). Not to worry though, I have a long list of projects I plan to get started on pretty soon. Here are some of my top projects I hope to finish over the next couple of months:
Another IKEA Rast Hack…
Y’all know I love a good Ikea hack.. Last time I upcycled an Ikea Rast 3-drawer chest I went with a trendy cane look. This time I opted for something a little different…
My Favorite February Thrift Finds
February was an amazing month full of great thrift store finds. I have a theory it’s because people are finally clearing out their homes after the holidays. From wool jackets to floor lamps I found SO many good things. Here are just a few of my favorites and how we ended up styling them in our home…
Save vs Splurge
I am all about finding cheaper options for furniture but when is it best to save and go for a cheaper option and when is it best to splurge? I personally think it is best to splurge on your high-traffic pieces. For us this included our couch, rug, kitchen table and mattress. Here are a few pieces around our home we decided to save on and a few where we opted to splurge (and allll the options we considered).
Turning the Ikea Rast 3-Drawer Chest into a Cane Masterpiece
Everyone loves a good Ikea hack, and this one will blow you away. Cane furniture is all the rage these days, however, that stuff is not cheap! I found a cane cabinet online that I loved and was appalled by how expensive it was… almost $800 for a small 3 drawer chest!! So I decided to create it myself! It honestly was pretty easy and I personally think it came out better than the inspo
Progress in the Guest Bathroom
We are slowly but surely turning our builder-grade home into something that feels a little more custom. We have made great progress in our guest bathroom and I am so excited to share it with y’all!
I Painted Our Bathroom Cabinets
We moved into our new house about 2 months ago. It was a new build and because the market here in Austin is so crazy, we didn’t get to customize anything. I knew before we moved in that I wasn’t necessarily thrilled about the dark brown cabinets in the bathroom. I felt like it made the space small and dark. After lots of discussion with Matt… we decided to paint them!
Creating an Accent Wall Using Beadboard
We knew when we moved in we wanted to add some color to Matt’s office, so an accent wall was the way to go. For this wall, we chose to give it a little extra spice by using beadboard, bringing the vertical lines all the way up the wall.
2022 Interior Design Trends
2021 was full of some fun interior design trends. Wallpaper is finally having a moment again (anyone else hope that this one is sticking around?!) and mid-century modern is still all the rage. However, as we enter into 2022, I believe we are going to see a few new trends take the spotlight.
An MWHG Year in Review
2021 was full of lots of changes, learning, and trying new things. Today I am looking back at just a few of my favorite projects.
